2017 set to be a great year for Western Star Trucks

2017 is set to be a great year for Western Star Trucks in Australia with a solid pipeline of sales for Penske Commercial Vehicles.

In addition to high performing dealerships nationally, the healthy pipeline can also be attributed to the efforts of the new Penske Power Systems dealerships in Mackay, Townsville, Darwin and Cairns.

Commencing as Penske Commercial Vehicles dealerships over the last six months, Penske Power Systems’ Mackay, Townsville, Darwin and Cairns locations have assumed full retail sales, service and parts responsibilities. These four locations were joined by Penske Power Systems’ Perth facility last month, which had a stellar first month of sales.

Penske Commercial Vehicles Sales Manager – Western Star Trucks, Dale Christensen, said the team was starting to reap rewards from all the hard work.

“Our pipeline of sales for Western Star Trucks is the best we have seen for some time,” said Mr Christensen.

“Penske Commercial Vehicles has always enjoyed success with our dealer partners and sales team, and now with Penske Power Systems taking on dealership responsibilities, our year looks very promising.

“Our team has really embraced Penske’s ‘customers first’ approach – we’re excited to work with our customers and dealers across our network, providing customers with the solutions that fit their needs.

“From the 2800SS to the 6900FXC, we have a great range with Western Star Trucks so we are confident that the future is bright.”

Marking Western Star Trucks’ global 50th year anniversary, the special edition 4900FXT ‘Road Star’ truck is traversing the country this year. The Road Star Roadshow is currently in Perth before heading to Roma later in the month, and then onto Darwin and Townsville in June.
