Allison Transmission at AFAC17 exhibition

Penske  will showcase a 2500 series cutaway Allison transmission at the annual AFAC17 exhibition in Sydney on September 4-6.

The national council for fire and emergency services, AFAC, is a leader in emergency management with a wide-ranging membership base including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Penske works closely with OEMs such as Fuso, Isuzu, Hino, UD, Volvo, Mack, Iveco and Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific to provide Allison Transmission products and re-gearing of existing transmissions where Allison Transmission is not a factory option.

“Exhibiting at AFAC17 enables us to support our OEM partners and their end customers,” said Daniel Raine, Penske Power Systems National Sales Manager – Allison Transmission.

“We have seen from previous years that the exhibition facilitates direct discussions with visitors about our product range and what fully automatic Allison transmissions can offer customers in the emergency response services.

“In those critical moments of responding to emergency events, end customers can rely on robust Allison transmissions which generally increase acceleration of trucks compared to manual transmissions.

“Removing the optimal gear selection decision-making process for drivers also yields improved fuel efficiency, reduced wear on componentry and easier operation of trucks.

“Offering not only cost savings but also reliability is key to what end customers need in the emergency services industry.”

With over 50 years in combined industry experience, Penske Power Systems’ Allison Transmission team will be available at stand #493 throughout the exhibition.
